Acceptable use

This Acceptable Use Policy forms part of our Terms of Service and sets out what you may and may not do when using zantau. It applies to everyone who uses the service.

What you must not do

You agree not to:

resell, sublicense, rent, or bulk-redistribute library content, our editorial analysis, or exports, or make the service available to anyone who is not an authorised user of your account;
scrape, crawl, harvest or systematically extract the service or its content, or use bots, automated scripts or other means to access it beyond the interfaces and rate limits we provide;
circumvent, disable or interfere with access limits, plan gating or any security or usage controls;
share a single account or a named Team seat among multiple people;
reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source code of the service, except to the limited extent this restriction is prohibited by law;
probe, scan, overload, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, its accounts, systems or networks, or introduce malware or other harmful code;
use the service to build, train or improve a competing product or dataset;
use the service unlawfully, to infringe others’ intellectual property or privacy rights, or to harass, defame or harm others; or
misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or use the service in a way that damages zantau or its reputation.

Fair and reasonable use

The service is provided for your own internal business research. Even where a limit is not technically enforced, your use should be consistent with normal individual research use; automated or excessive use that places an undue load on the service, or that looks designed to replicate the library, is not permitted.

Consequences

Breaching this policy is a breach of the Terms of Service. We may investigate suspected breaches and may warn you, throttle, suspend or terminate access, remove content, and take any other action we consider appropriate, including reporting unlawful activity to the authorities.
